Who we areEstablished in 1982 by Drs. Marc and Barbara Speare, Laguna Niguel Chiropractic is dedicated to serving patients with the highest level of professionalism in the specialty of Chiropractic.We are a complete comprehensive chiropractic facility, including X-Ray and physiotherapy modalities. We are equipped to handle a wide range of injuries. Some common injuries treated include; acute sports injuries, on-the-job injuries, or those related to automobile accidents. We also care for those patients with acute and chronic orthopedic conditions, such as arthritis, bursitis and sciatica.Furthermore, Laguna Niguel Chiropractic is a member of all PPO and HMO plans, which cover Chiropractic care and we will gladly verify your coverage for you. All insurance forms are processed by our professional staff and we do all of the billing for you.
What we doBased on the principle that structural integrity is essential to health and wellness, we are eager to relieve patients symptoms quickly and efficiently. When most patients come to the office they are in moderate to severe pain, which often has been present for some time. Our treatments often relieve pain immediately insuring a quick and speedy recovery.

Since 1982, they have actively participated in many charitable organizations and dedicated their time to improving the specialty of chiropractic. Serving on many prestigious boards, they have been recipients of numerous awards and honors for their outstanding service. Dr. Marc SpeareEducationUniversity of California, Los Angeles• B.A. in Psychobiology - 1977Los Angeles College of Chiropractic• D.C., Cum Laude Graduate - 1980BioDr. Marc Speare is a 1980 Cum Laude graduate of Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. He received his bachelors degree in Psycho-biology from UCLA where he worked in the area of electro-physiology at the Brain Research Institute. He has also worked at a Wholistic Medical Clinic specializing in nutritional therapeutics. Dr. Speare continues his education in the post-graduate areas of sports medicine/injury, nutrition, x-ray and advanced chiropractic techniques. Dr. Speare is a member of the California Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Barbara SpeareEducationNew York Sate University, Buffalo• Biology StudiesLos Angeles College of Chiropractic• B.S., D.C., Honors Graduate - 1980BioDr. Barbara Speare graduated with honors from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1980. Her undergraduate studies were at New York State University, Buffalo in Biology. After graduating, Dr. Speare became the director of a pain control clinic and taught physiotherapy and orthopedics at LACC. She is a diplomate of the National Board of Chiropractor Examiners and a member of the Parker Research Foundation. Dr. Speare furthers her education by taking post-graduate courses in advanced Chiropractic techniques.

TreatmentsChiropractic Adjustments (or Spinal Manipulation)A gentle specific force used to return the vertebrae back into its natural position. This eliminates spinal nerve irritation and inflammation. There are many different manipulative techniques that the doctor uses.Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS)The Matrix Neuromed EMS is a state-of-the-art device for pain relief. The Matrix is used for comfortable and effective rehabilitation, as well as muscle re-education. It is an excellent form of therapy in sports injuries. Other important benefits include relaxation of muscle spasms, increase in range of motion and decrease of inflammation.Ultrasound TherapyUltrasound is especially beneficial when tissue agitation is needed. Ultrasound acts to disperse harmful muscle waste products and inflammation. This therapy is good for trigger point muscle therapy.Hydrocollator TherapyMoist heat provides soothing relief to muscle spasms and promotes relaxation. Always use ice immediately after an injury.Deep Muscle TherapyThrough manual and physiotherapeutic techniques, deep muscle therapy allows the spinal adjustment to be maintained for longer periods of time.Therapeutic ExercisesDesigned for individual conditions so that future injury may be avoided and prevented.
